INSTALLATION

The SF450EN should be installed in the same room as the appliance.

On the ceiling at least 300mm from any wall or, if it is located on a wall, as high as possible (above doors and windows) but not within 150mm of the ceiling AND

between 1m and 3m horizontally from the appliance.

MAINTENANCE

The SF450EN needs no maintenance for the full 6.5 year life of the alarm, with no sensors or any parts to replace.

The Chimney Notice Plate

The Chimney Notice Plate :

Chimney Notice plates are a Building Regulations requirement. They most be filled out and fixed near to the appliance or within a meter cupboard.

The 100mm (4 inch) Joiner

The 100mm (4 inch) Joiner :

Allows the joining of two pieces of multi fuel liner (only to be used in none flueing applications)

The 100mm (4 inch) Nose Cone

The 100mm (4 inch) Nose Cone :

The nose cone is attached to the leading end of the liner, it helps prevent snagging against the side of the stack during installation. Please note that draw cords are not supplied.

APPLICATION

The nose cone helps prevent snagging of a flue liner against the side of the stack during installation.

INSTALLATION

Insert a draw cord or string (not supplied) into the hole of the nose cone. Secure with a knot. make sure the draw cord is long enough to reach to the bottom of the stack. Now tape or secure the nose cone to the flue liner end.

MAINTENANCE

It is recommended that chimneys serving solid fuel appliances be swept and maintained as frequently as necessary but at least once a year.

The 100mm (4 inch) Rain Cap

The 100mm (4 inch) Rain Cap :

Provides rain protection at the top of the stack.

APPLICATION

Provides rain protection at the top of the stack.

INSTALLATION

Terminal slides over the top of the liner and can be screwed into place with self tapping screws (not supplied) or alternatively can be cemented in to place at the top of the stack.

MAINTENANCE

The 100mm (4 inch) Top Clamp

The 100mm (4 inch) Top Clamp :

Used in conjunction with the Top Plate and Top Insert Sleeve, this will support the weight of the liner at the top of the stack.

APPLICATION

Used in conjunction with the Top Plate and Top Insert Sleeve, the Top Clamp supports the weight of the flue liner at the top of the stack.

CONSTRUCTION

The glavanised steel plate measure 15 inch square (375mm).

INSTALLATION

Place the Top Plate over the chimney recess at the top of the stack. The Flue Liner should protrude throught the Top Plate hole by approximately 100mm.

Insert the Top Insert Sleeve into the Flue Liner. Now place the Top Clamp over the Flue Liner and tighten the two nuts and bolts until the Flue Liner is secure againts Top Insert Sleeve. Now apply a suitable acid resistant cement as a seal and weather proof render. While this cement is wet secure the chimney pot to this cement.
